Before sending your first sales invoice with Outmin, you’ll need to do an initial basic set-up on your Outmin dashboard.

How it works

Add Company Details

Once you’re logged in to your Outmin account, go into “Sales Invoicing” in the side menu, and click on “Invoice Settings”. You’ll be able to add your company details, including your company logo, TAX reference, and your company contact information for invoices. Once you’ve completed all the information needed to issue your invoice, don’t forget to click on “Save Changes”.

Add Products and Services

Once you’ve successfully uploaded your company details, you need to add Products and Services before you can issue your first invoice! This also allows you to easily add, edit, and organise your offerings, and never lose track of your Products and Services.

On your Outmin dashboard, go back to “Sales Invoicing” in the side menu, and click on “Products/Services”. Click on “Create Product/Service” on the top right, and fill out your product or service name, description, price per unit and VAT rate. Once you’ve completed all the information needed, don’t forget to click on “Add Product/Service”.

Issue your first invoice

Now that set-up is completed, you can issue your first invoice! Click on “Invoices” on the side menu, and “Create Invoice” on the top right. You can select the client you want to send the invoice to, as well as the product/service and the payment method.

If you want to include a Direct Debit link or a Pay By Card link to your invoice, you will need to link Stripe or GoCardless to your Outmin account beforehand.

Before saving and sending your invoice, don’t hesitate to click on “Preview” to see what it will look like to the customer once your invoice is sent. This is important as there is no way to edit an invoice once it’s sent.

Once you’re ready to send your invoice, you can either click on “Save” to download a copy of your invoice in PDF format to distribute it as you wish, or click on “Save and Send” to send the invoice directly to your customer’s email address.

If you simply wanted to prepare an invoice but don't want to send it just yet, you can click on “Save as Draft” and then unleash it when the timing is just right.
